Based on strong Phase 1 performance and expanded global inspection capacity, RightShip is simplifying the Age Trigger timeline for dry bulk and general cargo vessels.

From Phases 2–4 onward, there will be no separate implementation window. Without a valid RightShip Inspection, dry bulk vessels’ Safety Scores will drop to 2 out of 5 when reaching the relevant age. Safety Scores for vessels already above the age at the implementation date (without a valid RightShip Inspection), will drop at this time.

The new rules take effect from the implementation dates below. Implementation dates
▶️ 1 April 2026 → Applies to vessels 12 years and older
▶️ 1 July 2026 → Applies to vessels 11 years and older
▶️ 1 January 2027 → Applies to vessels 10 years and older

These updates provide simplified timelines and help operators plan inspections with confidence.
