Crude oil tanker Barakah (IMO: 9902615) was struck by two Iranian drones off the coast of Oman on May 4 while transiting regional waters, highlighting ongoing risks to commercial shipping in the area.
The vessel is operated by ADNOC Logistics & Services and was not carrying any cargo at the time of the incident, and no crew members were injured.
The extent of damage to the tanker has not been disclosed, and further updates are expected as assessments continue.
Vessel is 2021 built VLCC and flagged with Liberia. Vessel was coming from Singapore and bound for Fujairah.
