CDI has issued a notice which is dated 31st Julty 2025 announcing a new type of inspection category as “China Domestic Trade Inspection Type. This is aimed at bringing into CDI, China registered vessels that are solely engaged in “China Domestic Trade” (CDT).
Several CDI chemical companies charter a considerable number of Chemical and LPG tankers that are so called Chinese Domestic Trading (CDT) and these chemical companies are expanding their work within China.
These chemical companies have requested CDI to develop a new vessel inspection type, exclusive for China Domestic Trading vessels that are restricted to only trade in China.
There are number of CDI inspectors, who are fluent in Chinese are accredited for CDT inspections. CDT operator shall be assigned different unique log in credentials and they can only request for CDT through this.
