This guidance provides a transparent framework that shows the relationships and responsibilities between stakeholders involved in the design, verification and validation process for dynamic positioning (DP) systems of Equipment Classes 2 and 3. It describes a process, Evidence Based Comprehensive Verification and Validation (EBCV2), that improves a DP vessel’s ability to deliver predictable, incident free DP operations and business performance objectives, including GHG Emission reductions.
