The UAE Maritime Administration represented by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has issued Circular no (07) of 2024 and has decided to ban the vessels mentioned below from the UAE ports and waters including the exclusive economic zone, as the vessels were involved in carrying out maritime activities without obtaining the permits from this Administration thus violating the Federal decree by law No. (43) of 2023 concerning the Maritime Law, Ministerial Resolution No. (73) of 2017 prohibiting foreign flag vessels from transportation of oil and its products, Ministerial Resolution No. (102) of 2017 for mandatory installation and operation of automatic identification system (AIS) for foreign flag vessels while staying in UAE waters and ports and FMA Circular No. (5) of 2024 prohibiting supply vessels from carrying, transporting or trading petroleum products .

This maritime administration has also decided to de-flag the vessel GHAZI 1 (IMO 9670078) from UAE flag in accordance with Article (21) of Federal Decree by Law No. (43) of 2023 for being involved in illegal trading in petroleum products.

The Maritime Administration warns agents and marine companies from dealing with the mentioned vessels listed in this circular to avoid legal actions.
