The coastal States of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea call for international action in response to growing navigation system interference and increased maritime safety risks.

Following previous joint statements on the Shadow Fleet from the Foreign Ministers and government representatives of Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, the maritime ministers from these countries share their concern about the growing risks to maritime safety with the international maritime community in an open letter.

Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden and the United Kingdom with Iceland are approaching the International Maritime Community, especially flag and port states, national authorities, flag registries, classification societies, shipping companies, managers and operators as well as seafarers, with this letter.
