FPSO Federal II which had fatal fire in June 2025 at Batam during repairs has repeated today and its reported that around 10 people lost thier life and 18 are seriously injured. The casuality figure is as per the statement of local police.

Its not clear that among the affected how many are crew and how many are shore worker.

The incident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. local time when a fire broke out on the vessel at Batam for repairs at a shipyard in the city of Batam, the June 2025 incident was alos at Batam and same vessel. In June then Police had charged 2 person for safety standard violation.

Authorities must are investigate on root cause as this is 2nd incient in same shipyard and same vessel.
