Oil tanker Excellion (IMO: 9428437) was struck amid a series of UAV attacks launched by Russian forces against port facilities, while moored at the eastern pier of the Izmail Oil Transshipment Complex, Ukraine, during the early hours of 20th Aug 2025. The vessel was fully laden and was discharging the cargo when the attack occurred.

According to Russian-affiliated media and military channels, the tanker was among the targets, alongside key infrastructure including the Triton oil depot. Reports indicate that up to 20 UAVs were deployed, with at least 30 explosions recorded over a 90-minute period. Preliminary information suggests that Excellion sustained heavy damage to its starboard superstructure resulting in fire and blast.

It is reported that further it effected the vessel cargo pumping system and vessel is further not able to discharge the cargo. Appears that the attack has substancially damaged the Pump room.
