MACN envisions a maritime sector that is free from corruption, fostering fair, transparent, and efficient global trade that benefits society as a whole. To achieve this vision, MACN focuses on enhancing integrity and accountability in the private sector, the public sector, and by advocating for more robust and harmonized integrity standards in maritime trade. Within companies, MACN helps empower captains and frontline staff to reject corruption, supports stronger internal compliance systems, promotes a culture of integrity, and sets higher standards for anti-corruption practices. With stakeholders across the public sector, MACN works to improve anti-corruption capacity at both national and port levels, and strengthen governance through better policies, regulations, and enforcement at both national and international levels, and in collaboration with civil society and local stakeholders.
Through this multi-faceted approach, MACN works toward long-term, systemic change that enables cleaner business operations and supports global trade that benefits everyone.
