IMO released amendments to the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973 (MARPOL) were adopted by the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) at its eighty-first session by resolution MEPC.384(81) and enter into force on 1 January 2026.
