A Cameroonian-flagged oil tanker, FALCON (IMO: 9014432, MMSI: 613467061), reportedly suffered an explosion and fire about 60 nautical miles south of Ahwar, Yemen, prompting a distress call and the launch of a search and rescue operation. As per Ambrey 25 crew members of the tanker were rescued by two passing merchant vessels. The incident is reported to have occured 18th Oct.
