RMI issued Marine Safety Advisory 10-2025 whihc supersedes Marine Safety Advisory No. 17-23.

As the 2025 fishing season along China’s coastline has opened, Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI)-flagged vessels are advised that China’s Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) has updated their Safety Advisories for Vessels Navigating China’s Coastal Waters to ensure safe navigation during this period.

The China MSA publication hyperlinked above references earlier documents such as Guidelines for the Prevention of Collision Between Merchant Vessels and Fishing Vessels in China’s Coastal Waters and, in Chinese language only, Safety Notice for Preventing Collisions between Commercial and Fishing Vessels.

RMI-flagged vessels bound for Chinese ports or transiting through the coastal waters of China are advised to review Safety Advisories for Vessels Navigating China’s Coastal Waters and its associated documents to ensure good practices and safe navigation when transiting the area.
