Paris MOU has issued revised PSC deficiency code which came into effect from 01st July 2025. Each year there is revision of the codes and always comes into effect from 01st July like Flag state or RO performance data.

The changes are highlighted in orange fonts. Here we summarise the changes in the deficiency code of 2024 and 2025.

011 – Certificates & Documentation – Ship Certificate: In this category there is 2 new codes are added as below 01146 International Certificate of Inventory of Hazardous Materials 01147 International Ready for Recycling Certificate

013 – Certificates and Documentation – Document: Under this category a new code is added as below 01342 Inventory of Hazardous Materials (Hong Kong Convention)

02 – Structural condition: One new category has been included as below 02141 Lifting appliances and anchor handling winches

05 – Radio communication: In this category the code no has given changed nomeclature as below 05106 has been renamed to ‘Recognized Mobile Satellite Service (RMSS) ship earth station’ from ‘INMARSAT ship earth station’ 05111 has been changed to “Satellite EPIRB 406MHz” from “Satellite EPIRB 406MHz/1.6GHz”

10 – Safety of Navigation: In this section a new category has been added as below 10130 Electronic Inclinometers

148 – Pollution Prevention – Ballast Water: In this category two new codes have been added as below 14812 Ballast Water Management System – Approval by Administration 14813 Ballast Water Management System – Implementation

Please note that this year CIC from 01st Aug 2025 to 31st Oct 2025 is planned for Ballast Water Management
