Fully cellular container vessel Solong (IMO: 9322554, built 2005) collided with anchored oil tanker Stena Immaculate (IMO: 9693018, built 2017), off the coast of East Yorkshire, United Kingdom on 10th March 2025. It has been reported that crew from both the vessel has abandoned the vessel after multiple explosion onboard the vessels. There were 37 people on board 36 survivors recovered and one person missing from Solong. Crew members from both vessels were brought ashore in Grimsby, with one individual hospitalized. 

Solong is carrying a cargo mixed with a large amount of unknown quantity of alcohol and 15 containers of Sodium Cyanide. Whereas, Stena Immaculate is carrying Grade 1 jet fuel of 220,000 barrels as cargo onboard. Stena Immaculate was en route from Agio Theodoroi, Greece while Solong was en route from Grangemouth, United Kingdom.

Authorities have established a five-mile air and sea exclusion zone, with potential expansion to 10 miles if necessary. The search for the missing crew was terminated at 1904 hrs GMT. Firefighting operations have been suspended, while counter-pollution and salvage operations remain ongoing. Both vessels will be monitored overnight. Counter-pollution vessels and surveillance aircraft are attending on Mar 11.
