Maritime Sutra brings worldwise PSC detention analysis on weekly basis, based on data available on all PSC MOU and USCG. Regret that Riyadh MOU data is on available on their website and hence Riyadh MOU detention data is not accounted for.
- MOU wise Detention data analysis

Based on above table, the most detention has taken place in Tokyo MOU region 18 Nos (62.07%) followed by Med MOU 4 Nos (13.79%). If we look at nos of deficiencies noted for each inspection which resulted in detention is Med MOU region with 13.25 Deficiencies noted for each inspection. There has been no detention by USCG, Vina Del Mar MOU and Abuja MOU.
2. Deficiency Category

Basis above table its apparent that Fire Safety has been major concern which forms 16.78% of deficiencies noted for detained vessel followed by Safety of Navigation. 64.80% Deficiencies were noted in Tokyo MOU region followed by Med MOU (17.43%)
3. Flag State Category

Basis above table, Panama Flag vessel has highest detention percentage of 28.57% followed by Liberia Flag vessel with 17.86% detention.
Above data has been taken from the respective MOU website from 16th Feb 2025 to 22nd Feb 2025 and atmost care has been taken for data population. Analysis has been done by tool developed by Maritime Sutra team.
